Terms of sale and use
These terms cover your use of jobstepsafety.com and anything you buy from JobStep Safety. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Questions? Email help@jobstepsafety.com.
What we provide
JobStep Safety publishes safety information, toolbox talks, forms and templates based on published OSHA and other federal material, and sells two digital products: the Custom JHA, a job hazard analysis prepared from the answers you give us, and the Year of Toolbox Talks, a pack of 52 toolbox talks. Everything is delivered digitally, as PDF and Word files.
Our content is general safety information. It is not legal advice, and it is no substitute for your own judgment, a site inspection or the advice of a qualified person. You are responsible for your safety program, for checking every document against the actual work and site, and for following the regulations that apply to you.
Orders and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and charged once at checkout. There is no subscription.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- The charge appears on your statement as JOBSTEP SAFETY.
- For a Custom JHA, you confirm your task, steps and answers on the review screen before paying. The document is prepared from exactly those answers.
Delivery
A Custom JHA is usually emailed within 15 minutes of payment. The Year of Toolbox Talks is available to download immediately after payment, and the download links are also emailed to you. If anything has not arrived within one business day, email us and we will resend it.
Fixes and refunds
Custom JHA
Each Custom JHA is prepared for your task from your answers, and you confirm your task, steps and answers on the review screen before you pay. Because it is custom work, we do not offer refunds for a change of mind. Instead, we stand behind it with free fixes:
- Free fixes for 14 days. If anything in your JHA is wrong, or you want changes to your steps or answers, reply to your delivery email within 14 days of delivery. We correct it and send you the updated files at no cost.
- When we refund. We refund the full amount if we fail to deliver your JHA, if we cannot fix a problem you report within 3 business days, or if you were charged twice for the same order.
Year of Toolbox Talks
You can read three full sample talks, see sample pages and every week's title before you buy. If the pack is not right for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Refunds are limited to one per customer. A refund ends your right to use the pack.
Payment disputes
If something is wrong with an order, please contact us first at help@jobstepsafety.com. We reply within one business day and resolve problems under the fixes and refunds terms above, which is faster than a bank dispute. If a payment is disputed while we are still able to fix or refund it, we will share these terms and your order and delivery records with the payment processor, and download links for the disputed order stop working while the dispute is open.
How you may use what you buy
- You may print, edit and use the files within your own company, on as many of your own job sites as you like.
- You may not resell, republish or share the Year of Toolbox Talks or a Custom JHA outside your company, or offer them as your own product.
- The free talks, forms and templates on the site are free to use and print in your own work.
Limits of responsibility
We work carefully to keep our content accurate and current, and we cite our sources so you can check them. Regulations change and every site is different, so the site and the documents are provided as they are, without any promise that they are complete or fit a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to a purchase never exceeds what you paid for that order, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
